Editorial policy
Independence
Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers. No advertiser sees content before publication and no advertiser can request the addition, removal or alteration of a figure or conclusion. Display advertising is served programmatically; the presence of an ad implies no endorsement in either direction.
Fairness to sources
When we report that sources disagree, we are not accusing anyone of error. Different figures usually reflect different methods, and we say so. We quote each source accurately, link to it where possible, and note when a source does not state its method rather than implying carelessness.
Fairness to AI platforms
We quote AI responses verbatim with the platform and date. We do not cherry-pick a bad response from many attempts, and we do not present an outdated response as current. Where an assistant answers well, we say so. The point is to help readers evaluate answers, not to score points against a product.
Human review
Every page is reviewed by a person before publication. We do not auto-generate and auto-publish. The rate at which this site grows is limited by how many sources we can actually read.
Corrections
Errors of fact are corrected promptly and logged publicly with the date and the nature of the change.
Advertising and affiliate disclosure
This site earns revenue from display advertising. If we ever add affiliate links they will be disclosed on the page carrying them and will never influence a published figure or conclusion.
Scope
We publish comparative reference data on everyday practical questions. We do not publish medical, legal or financial advice, or any content requiring professional licensure.
